Great interview with legendary reggae selector and DJ, David Rodigan MBE. This interview took place at Fabric club in London in front of a live audience. It took place a few months after Rodigan received his MBE, and Rodigan talks openly and frankly about his long career in reggae, from broadcasting to clashing.
Rodigan talks at length, and passionately about music, the role of the sound system, the fine art of the selector, and talks at length about his own approach to creating dubplates and clashing.
Rodigan also relives some of his most memorable clashes and plays some of his favorite dubplates that he has used on opposing soundsystems, including his famous Ninjaman dubplate that was cut for the World Clash the day after Ninjaman came out of prison.
This is a great interview with an absolute reggae legend and is well worth investing a hour and a half to watch it all.
